JJ Rhatigan & Company chosen to complete Mixed Use Development at Well Street, Hackney
JJ Rhatigan & Company has been awarded the Design and Build contract for the completion of a part new build and part refurbishment mixed use scheme at Well Street, Hackney. The majority of the site will contain a new build four storey apartment block housing sixteen apartments. The ground floor houses a commercial space with the potential to be used for a shop or small business. Also on the site is an existing house that previously formed part of a doctor’s surgery. This house will undergo a major refurbishment to restore it for use as a three bedroom, semi detached family home.
As part of the Design and Build contract, JJ Rhatigan & Company will work alongside the client at all stages to determine their requirements and design a building to suit.
The construction methods used to construct the new building consist of piled foundations, ground bearing slab, structural steel frame, SFS top floor, concrete infill metal deck upper floor slabs, part brick and part profiled zinc cladding systems. The internal elements including heating, services, ventilation, lighting, security and access, as well as the fixtures and fittings will also be completed by JJ Rhatigan & Company as part of our full contracting services and allow the new residents to move in immediately upon completion.
