JJ Rhatigan is proud to partner with the Health Service Executive (HSE) to deliver a transformative project aimed at enhancing surgical capacity and improving patient care across Ireland. This ambitious undertaking involves the design and build of three Surgical Services Hubs located in Limerick, Waterford, and Cork.
These Surgical Services Hubs are designed to meet the highest healthcare standards, integrating advanced medical technology and cutting-edge design to improve efficiency, safety, and patient outcomes. Key features include:

- Efficient patient flow systems to minimise wait times and enhance patient care.

Each facility has been tailored to meet the unique requirements of its site, ensuring optimal functionality and alignment with local healthcare needs.
Spanning a combined area of 20,688 m² across 3 locations and representing an investment of €162 million, this project is a landmark initiative in Ireland’s healthcare infrastructure. The scale and complexity of these hubs reflect JJ Rhatigan’s capability to deliver large-scale, high-specification projects on time and within budget.
Construction on all three sites commenced in September 2024, with completion targeted for August 2026. Each hub will follow a customised construction plan to accommodate the distinct challenges and timelines of its location, ensuring seamless delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
These state-of-the-art hubs are set to play a critical role in addressing the increasing demand for surgical services in Ireland. By expanding capacity and optimising the delivery of care, the hubs will not only reduce waiting lists but also provide an enhanced experience for patients and healthcare professionals alike.
