As part of a construction joint venture with Balfour Beatty Ireland, in a consortium comprised of Prime, Balfour Beatty and InfraRed Capital Partners Limited, JJ Rhatigan & Company is starting work on site delivering a landmark programme of 14 Primary Care Centres with a value of circa €140 million. The centres, ranging in size from 1,500m² to 5,000 m² gross floor area, are expected to be delivered in over a twenty-seven month programme, with facilities being built in Dublin, Galway, Kildare, Limerick, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Waterford, Tipperary and Wexford.
All 14 Primary Care Centres will include General Practitioner (GP) services. In addition a number of centres will include a wider range of community based services such as dental services, community mental health services, child and adolescent mental health services, early intervention teams, and doctor on call services. Based on the concept of ‘One project, fourteen communities’, each centre has been designed to meet local needs and ultimately enhance local communities nationwide.
Having reached financial close this week, Padraic Rhatigan, Managing Director at JJ Rhatigan & Company commented “we are delighted to have signed the construction joint venture agreement with Balfour Beatty this week and look forward to starting work on site imminently to deliver primary care facilities of the highest quality and standard for the Health Service Executive (HSE) and the National Development Finance Agency (NDFA)”.
