We are thrilled to announce the winner of our 2022 Safety Performer of the Year!

Following the very successful implementation of the Monthly Safety Performer Awards across all our sites in 2022 it was time in early 2023 to pick the overall winner of the €5,000 grand prize.

The 2022 Safety Performer of the Year draw took place in the presence of our JJR Senior Leadership Team and live online via Microsoft Teams, was watched by our employees around the country.

The winner was drawn from the 127 Safety Performer of the Months representing so many organisations across all our projects and 11 of those won Safety Performer of the Month twice.

Our programme of monthly safety awards, introduced in January 2022, have been a great success receiving huge buy in from all on site.

The evidence is clear with improved health and safety culture resulting in a reduction in accidents and a subsequent reduction in lost time for personnel on site.

Officiating at the draw, our CEO Ger Ronayne noted ‘I’d like to acknowledge the efforts of everyone and how health and safety is continuing improve. A big congratulations is due to all our monthly winners, getting your name into the prize draw in the first place is where the work was done so thank you. This initiative puts a focus on the importance of health and safety and wellbeing for everyone.’

We are delighted to announce Zeljko Covic, of MCR Group, as the winner of our 2022 Safety Performer of the Year!

Zeljko is a two-time Safety Performer of the Month, winning the January 2022 Award for Charlemont Square and the July 2022 Award for Trinity E3 Project. It pays to get your name in more than once!
