The works comprised of the first floor fit-out of the Existing Acute Psychiatric Unit, which includes a Haemodialysis Unit and a separate Mental Health Unit.
The new covered link bridge to the existing hospital was accessed from two new stairs and lift cores. The ground floor of the 44 bed Acute Psychiatric residential Unit remained occupied and fully operational for the duration of the project and careful coordination was required with the operators to ensure critical 24-hour services were maintained.
