Work was carried out with utmost care and attention in order to ensure the architectural integrity of the building is retained. The project included the completion of a partially constructed 7,765m² six storey over basement shell and core office building, the demolition of 19 Henry St and the construction of a 1,900m² five storey shell and core office building, as well as the refurbishment of 680m² of the existing Mercantile, GPO and Hanging Gardens Buildings.
This project, with its increased footprint, offers an opportunity to make a visible street presence and to clarify the interfaces between the various elements of the project, its relationship to the street, circulation routes and materials strategy. The development includes 7432m² of Grade A office workspace.
