The works consisted of two new teaching blocks of approximately 4900m2 each incorporating lecture theatres, study areas works shops, café, a sports building and a new crèche facility.
The campus continued to operate normal activities during the construction period. Each of the buildings and work areas were in close proximity to each other and the hoarding lines around each allowed for the minimum amount of space outside the building line. Solid timber hoardings were used for this purpose and all access gates were manned by security guards to ensure there was no encroachment onto the site.
