This project included a 2,200m² extension to the existing emergency department and a 2,400m² extension to the delivery suite/maternity and operating theatre department.
Included in the emergency department extension was the provision of 10 major treatment cubicles, 4 minor treatment cubicles, the resuscitation room, isolation/ gynecology/ pediatric multi-function rooms, minor ops room and other ancillary accommodation. Included in the delivery suite extension was 6 new birthing rooms, self-contained operating suite, with the appropriate level of reception and recovery places.
